Remember, just a few years ago Google was just a funny sounding research project with a website. Now Google dominates the Internet search engines, outstripping its competitors like Alta Vista, Lycos and Yahoo,formerly the big players in search engine traffic.
Evaluation
Careful evaluation of your web presence is the first step toward developing a customized marketing plan. We begin with an assessment of your web position in 10 major search engines. Though you may have received offers to submit your site to "thousands of search engines", in reality there are only a handful that truly matter.
Keyword Research
Keywords are essential to visibility on the web. Out Of the Box research can guide targeted customers to your site by carefully choosing a list of keywords that are relevant to your business. Keywords are written into the text on the site and included in the title and meta descriptions.
Site Optimization
After determining the most important keywords and phrases, we create the content to make your site easily accessible to the search engines as well as your target audience. Usability comes into play as well, making sure that the site is easily navigated and that no essential features are overlooked.
Search Engine Submission
Once the site is optimized, we begin the 6-8 month process of search engine release, directory listings, and linking to industry specific sites. All appropriate pages of your site will be submitted to the major search engines each month. It is important to repeat these submissions monthly in order to solidify your site's position in the vast data bases of the search engines. We also prepare your listing for submission to the paid search engines, Yahoo, MSN and Looksmart. If you have a retail site, we will create Froogle data feeds for inclusion in this new Google shopping engine.
Link Popularity
Link popularity is becoming increasingly important to search engine rankings, and we carefully choose legitimate, relevant sites that will drive traffic to your site. In addition, we will submit sites to general directories for indexing.
Tracking Success on the Web
Careful analysis of site traffic is essential to developing a successful web business. We assist our clients by implementing usage statistics and helping them understand how to analyze the results. The stats program tracks the number of visitors, what led them to the page, and at what point they are exiting the site.
